Discounts for prints on the same type of paper apply to identical motifs in the same format or to completely print-ready data (already in the final format, in the correct resolution and with any white margins added).
Fabrication time: approx. 1 to 3 working days, see the information for the respective paper. Other dates are subject to agreement and availability for an additional charge.
Data processing: If delivered data are not created in the final format, so that we have to adjust them to the ordered size, then we charge 3.00 Euro per motif.
Collection form: If you place several motifs together on one format and deliver one file for this, only the corresponding format will be invoiced. If in this case a cropping of the single images is desired, then this costs 2,- Euro per motif.
Included: One blank is included per print format. Each additional cut costs 2,- € extra.
Panorama formats: Very long formats that can only be rotated and therefore only fit on the paper with a lot of waste (e.g. 120 x 20 cm) must be calculated separately.
By arrangement: If your images do not fit into the desired format or additional processing is desired (create borders, more complex color corrections), this work will be charged by prior arrangement per minute with gross 1.50 €. Minimum charge is 3,00 €.

Glossy photo paper 260 gsm: The glossy sister paper of our popular semi-gloss photo paper gives it all again with its glossy surface to give your photo that last bit more brilliance when printing the colors and is perfect for all purists who like it crisp, glossy and sharp.

HP Lithorealistic paper matte 270 gsm: Perfectly suited for fine photo prints, high quality poster art and other art projects. The warm white surface is absolutely reflection-free and is perfect for color photos and graphics.
Epson Enhanced matte paper 190 gsm: For graphic and photographic photo prints where a fine matte paper with uncompromisingly vivid image reproduction is crucial. Also well suited for black and white images due to the neutral white tone. Very good durability values.
Hahnemühle Photo Lustre 290 gsm: High-quality bright white photo paper with a noble Lustre surface for timelessly printed photos with high demands. It impresses with a very good print quality and is ideally suited for demanding use.

How long does it take to make my picture?
In our product or category descriptions, you will find the average production times or the exact printing dates and deadlines for data submission.
I am unsure if the size of my image is sufficient. What can I do?
We check your data for the appropriate resolution for the desired size and whether the image proportions fit. If there are any problems or ambiguities, we will contact you.
What is the exact ordering process?
You either order your image in our online store Berlinprint.de or send us the file via our individual order with the appropriate info and your wishes noted.
For both order options, after we have successfully reviewed your data, you will receive an e-mail containing our invoice with the payment terms and informing you of the expected completion or shipping date.
If you have paid our invoice in advance, you can come to pick up your print at any time during our business hours from the completion date. Payment on site is possible by German EC card or cash. For staff reasons, however, we are happy if you have already paid in advance. This is possible by bank transfer or Paypal.
If your data is not readily printable, we will contact you in advance to inquire.
Can I pick up my print in person?
You can come to our retail store in Berlin-Friedrichshain for collection at any time from the notified completion date during our business hours from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 5:30 pm. Since we currently do not have the store open directly due to staffing reasons, then please just knock on our door.
How much does it cost to have a photo printed?
Prices for printing a photo start at 30 x 20 cm with 4,02 EUR. The printing price always depends on the chosen material and the size of the image. The resolution of your photo has an influence on which sizes are still well printable.
What format to print photos?
The aspect ratio of the photo should match the aspect ratio of the format to be printed. Many cameras take photos in the aspect ratio of 3:2 or 4:3. This results, for example, in a photo in the format 30 x 20 cm or with the 4:3 aspect ratio the format 40 x 30 cm. Optimal photo file FORMATS are jpg files, as these are not too large due to their compression and are therefore easy to send. But also png and tif are possible.
How can I print pictures from my cell phone?
You can email pictures from your smartphone directly to us on demand and have them printed on high-quality photo paper. Or you can upload your photos to be printed via our webshop during the order process.

Advantages of inkjet printing
In inkjet printing, the ink/pigment is applied directly to and absorbed by the print material. Inkjet technology allows a wide range of materials to be used for printing, from normal "coated" photo paper to coarser cotton materials such as watercolor paper and canvas. This also makes art prints on artist materials possible.
Quality and variety
Unlike photographic technology, an inkjet printer prints a fixed number of dots in a limited area. To create tonal differences, a printer prints larger dots in dark areas and smaller dots in light areas. Photos printed using inkjet printing are therefore often perceived as having greater contrast and sharpness than exposed photos. The color gamut of inkjet printed photos can also be larger in parts of the color space than the color gamut of an exposed photo.
In terms of possible printing materials, there are a variety of surfaces and materials such as watercolor papers, foils, fabrics, and more. Since the ink is applied to the surface of the material, a photo print can be more sensitive to handling compared to a photographically developed image. This is especially important to keep in mind when handling matte papers.
Durability photo prints vs. photo exposures
There is much debate in the industry about which technology produces the images with the longest lifespan. A photographic image is said to have a lifespan of about 40 years in daylight and about 80 years in an archival environment. Inkjet printer manufacturers claim that a print will last about 40 years in daylight and about 200 years in an archival environment. However, claims of longevity should be taken with a grain of salt. More on this in the next paragraph.
The lifespan of an image, regardless of the technology, is highly dependent on the circumstances in which the image is hung or stored. Circumstances that affect the longevity of a picture include sunlight, humidity and temperature differences, coloration and framing, glass used, but first and foremost the long-term stability of the paper used as well as the printing inks.
